Cartoon post MOVED to my main website

Sorry for the late notice but I have decided to post all future comics and animation on my main site at fmhansen.com in the ‘New Cartoon’ page rather than post them on Animatic Press. I just feel that it is smarter to have people go to a single site for all my content rather than two, plus that will hopefully bring more traffic to my main site.

I am trying to post more single panel cartoons more often and may even begin posting multi-paneled cartoons as well if things go as planned.

Thank you for your patience, kindness and support of Animatic Press. I hope all of you and more will visit my main site just as often or more to check out new cartoons. Eventually they will have their own page over there.

Scientific Twin

This one was based on the word “Identical,” which was the word of the week on Illustration Friday.

I like the absurd idea that someone would actually have an indentical twin created medically. It would be fun to develop a character that would go to such an extreme.

Sniffing Out The Difference

I usually steer clear of politics in my cartoons, but I came up with this idea and liked enough to do it. The original caption was different and I thought of letting the readers suggest their own captions, but then I thought no, I need to caption this and not chicken out.

Although I will be voting for Obama, I do not see huge difference between these two guys. Yes, there is a huge difference between the people voting for them but between the two gentlemen themselves, in policy, not much difference. Romney is playing the conservative to win the election but he’s pretty moderate compared to the folks who were trying to win the GOP nomination. It’s fascinating to watch someone try so hard to be liked just to be elected. That is one thing that Obama does not seem to do . I’m sure he does from time to time, but it but it never shows.

I went over the caricatures again and again, and they are still not perfect, but overall I think the art work came out good and joke reads the way I intended it to. That is success to me.
